Lord make me a channel

Lord, make me a channel of thy peace,
that where there is hatred, I may bring love;
that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness;
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony;
that where there is error, I may bring truth;
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith;
that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.

Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than
to be comforted to understand, than to be understood

to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying
…………that one awakens to Eternal Life

Changing peoples perception...

So, here I am, I sell cars for a living. As soon as I tell people what I do, it seems that they have a "Preconceived" idea about who I am, or "How" I am. So, the whole idea behind this blog is to let people know who I really am. Selling cars, is what I do for a living; it is not my identity.

I was talking to a girl at Allsup's and she says "You sell cars, you are a flirt!". So, does that mean that because I sell cars, then I am a flirt? Are all car salesmen flirts? Are all car salesmen dishonest? These are the "Mis-perceptions" that I intend to alleviate here!

Am I a flirt? Well, maybe so! But, not because I am a car salesman. If I flirt with a girl, it is because I like her; not because I am trying to sell a car.

I do my best to be honest. I don't know the answer to every question, but I try to give honest answers. I am here to make friends. My motto is, "If I can't make a friend, then I won't sell a car".

I hope that people will get a chance to really know me before the pre-judge me!

Starz in Black! Is there COLOR in heaven?

I am probably going to get some negative comments about this, but, I have to say something! Watching tv this morning, good movie with Samuel Jackson, and a few other good actors. I got to noticing "Starz - IN BLACK". Now honestly folks if there was a "Starz in White" they would all be shanghaied and sued and tattoed as worthless!

You know the point is that in heaven, there is NO COLOR! Our bodies are just shells. Modes of transportation for our spirits; for who we really are. So... with that said, let's all see what we can do today to start to live in unity. The United Way, means much more, so much more. Love your neighbor! Break down the invisible color barriers! Let's knock down some walls people! God bless you all!

It helps to remind us what we are supposed to do in order to live a full and fulfilling life. That is where these blogs help. When we feel the need to be creative, to be "who we are" then, we have an outlet. My best analogy is like a dammed lake. If you dont let any of the water out then it becomes stagnant. Open the dam, let the water flow, and the lake is full of life refreshing and giving life to all around it!

The blessing of "Get To"

Gratitude!  Is the word for the day.Today, is father's day, 2011; and I get to spend the day with my 74 year old dad, and my 17 year old son.   After all that has happened in my life, I have learned to thank God for the blessing of "Get To".  Rather than complain about all that is not happening, or that Dad doesn't do things the "right" way, or that my boy doesn't make the best grades, or whatever.... I might find wrong, at the moment.  I remind myself, how fortunate I am to be able to enjoy their company.  It is all about perception.  It is all about how you see things!

Thank you Jesus, for opening my eyes!  Happy Fathers Day to Everyone!

Service - The essence of success!

The truly successful person doesn't use others, other people use them.

If you can contribute to others, no matter how small your talent, you too can become successful. The measure of anyone is the number of people that they serve. Service to others is the essence of success. No one achieves success without being of service. All great men and women became successful because they gave some talent or ability in the service of others.

Everybody has to be somebody to somebody to be anybody.

Why blog?

Ok.  Well, this is my first Blog post!  You may ask yourself... Why a blog?  Well, there are many reasons.  First of all, FaceBook, just seems to go away.  Some of my inspirations, I want right in front of my face on a daily basis.  I work hard to Pump Myself up.  I do daily meditation, bible reading, meditation, journaling, exercise, and or a combination of any of the above.  I do something EVERY DAY!  When I am inspired, I want to write it down, and be able to remember it a week, a month, or even a year later.  I believe I have some good stuff (and, some not so good!)  But, for the most part, when I go back and read my stuff, it is good, and inspires me all over again, or brings me back to the point of inspiration.

FaceBook is a good tool, and it is a platform, if you have something simple to say.  It is also GREAT for connecting with old friends, or making new friends.  It is not good for really telling who you are.  Hence,  here I am, hoping to inspire myself, and others!
